SLOVAKIAN TEAM
Dominika Bašárová
I am a teacher of the Slovak language and literature. I lead children to read for pleasure – in every Slovak lesson, I read books of my own choice with them for 15 minutes. I love theater – I enjoy going to the theater, but I also enjoy creating it. Every year at school, I rehearse a folk tale with the students, which we present to the public. I am fascinated by art. I believe that its power can transform a person. I meet students and colleagues at seminars, where I moderate discussions about art – about film, literature, paintings, and music.
Anna Whitley
I am an English and Spanish teacher. I have been fortunate to dedicate 17 years to the teaching profession, where I have had the opportunity to share my passion for language with students and help them grow academically and personally. In addition to my work in the classroom, I am involved in international projects at our school. These projects have allowed me to collaborate with educators and students from different cultures.
Dávid Gajdoščík
I am a teacher of civic education and vocational IT subjects. I focus on developing students´media skills (working with cameras, editing, and lighting). I strive to introduce and use artificial intelligence and virtual reality in the educational process. I am responsible for the school’s marketing communication and social networks.
Pavol Kocan
I have been working as a computer science teacher for two years at the Kollárová 17 United School in Sečovce, specializing in Information and Network Technologies. My teaching focuses on programming, electrical engineering, the Internet of Things, databases, and mobile application development, among other areas. Given my previous experience in video editing and short promotional films, I strive to offer these skills to our students through extracurricular activities such as clubs and documenting school events. In my free time, I enjoy exploring new technologies, and I find inspiration in both the technical and content aspects of good films and series.
